Viewers can’t stop criticizing the new Witcher trailer: “This looks terrible”

The official trailer for the fourth season of Netflix’s hit series The Witcher features a new and slightly longer look at Liam Hemsworth as the legendary Geralt of Rivia. The plot follows his desperate search for Ciri (Freya Allan) as war tears apart the Continent and enemies lurk at every turn, Deadline reports .

According to the official synopsis, the season picks up where the dramatic events of the end of season three left off, changing the balance of power on the Continent. Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri are separated and forced to face the dangers of a war-torn world alone. “If they can embrace and lead the groups of outcasts they find themselves in, they have a chance to survive the baptism of fire, and find each other again,” the trailer reads.

The trailer shows Geralt leading an unusual group of adventurers through a series of dark and dangerous locations. In one scene, one of his party members sarcastically remarks to him, “You didn’t mention anything about the sinister cemetery of death,” to which Geralt resolutely replies, “Let’s get the hell out of here!”

New faces and some already known heroes

Alongside Hemsworth, the series will also star Laurence Fishburne as Regis, a beloved character from The Witcher books and video games. Regis, who first appeared in Andrzej Sapkowski’s novel Baptism of Fire, is a former barber and surgeon with a mysterious past who joins Geralt on his journey.

The series also returns Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, Freya Allan as Ciri, and Joey Batey as the bard Jaskier. The production team is led by Steve Gaub, Matt O’Toole, Mike Ostrowski, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Lauren Schmidt, and the teams of Platige Films and Hivemind Content.

Viewers disappointed again. Some write that they will not watch the new season

The fourth season of The Witcher premieres on Netflix on October 30. Fans can expect a tense continuation of the story of magic, betrayal and redemption, and a new era for Geralt of Rivia led by Liam Hemsworth after Henry Cavill left the project.

His departure, as well as the casting of Liam Hemsworth, best known for his role in the “Hunger Games” franchise, has sparked negative criticism from many fans. The same is true of the comments after the release of the official trailer, which, just like the first teaser, has more bad reviews than good.

“This looks like a lower-class Geralt”, “Remember, it’s not the actor’s fault, it’s the producers who caused Henry to quit”, “I know it’s not Liam’s fault that he accepted the role, but this looks really bad”, “No matter how hard he tries, Liam will never be as good a Geralt as Henry was. He was simply born for the role”, “The more content I see about the new season, the less I want to watch it”, “I don’t want to watch this, it looks terrible”, are just some of the comments.
