This comedy is the second most-watched movie on Netflix. It has a 75 percent on Rotten Tomatoes

NETFLIX is premiering the dramedy Nonnas, a film by Stephen Chbosky inspired by the history of the Enoteca Maria restaurant, which was founded in 2007 on Staten Island, New York, and the lives of the people who worked there. The film climbed the list of most-watched films in a few days, and is currently the second most-watched film on Netflix in Croatia.

The film stars Vince Vaughn, star of comedies like Bridesmaids, The Apprentice and Trouble in Paradise. The film follows Joe Scaravello, who, after the loss of his mother, risks everything to honor her by opening an Italian restaurant where the cooks become local grandmothers, or “nonnes.” Each of them comes from a different part of Italy, and in order for it to work, they will have to put aside their differences to share their favorite dishes with the local community and the restaurant’s patrons.

In addition to Vince Vaughn, the film also stars Lorraine Bracco, Talia Shire, Brenda Vaccaro, Jimmy Smagula, Adam Ferrara, Karen Giordano, Susan Sarandon and other stars.
